Has anyone got shareable templates for consent-based image use and label review with source communities? We’re installing 18 new panels for Plateau collections in May and want to integrate TK Labels and clear opt-out language; examples or wording that worked for you would be hugely helpful.
We’ve used a two-part consent/review form: separate checkboxes for exhibit-only vs broader reuse, a line like “You may change or withdraw consent at any time; this won’t affect access or services,” and a 12‑month review, with TK Labels pulled from TK Labels – Local Contexts and a field for community-specific notes. Think of consent as a dimmer, not a switch — are you planning individual sign-offs or group sessions?
Consider including a clause about cultural sensitivity in your consent forms, especially before May. Have you thought about how to incorporate feedback from the source communities?
Agree on the timing part — getting input early from the source communities really helped us refine our consent forms. We incorporated a timeline for feedback and it allowed everyone to feel more involved. Have you thought about scheduling an initial meeting to discuss these forms together?
