Go-to platform for on-the-floor quizzes

We’ve been using Kahoot! on visitors’ phones during 20-minute family tours, but Wi‑Fi dead zones in our 2nd-floor galleries kill the momentum. Has anyone found a low-bandwidth tool or offline workaround (like QR to a local server or simple clickers) that keeps things interactive without the tech hiccups?

We switched to Plickers — laminated cards per family and my phone scans answers — so it’s “no signal, no problem” and syncs later: https://plickers.com. It keeps the energy up like flashcards with superpowers, though scanning takes a moment if the group crowds together. Would printed cards per group work in your second-floor galleries?
